The lecture performance by 'two researchers in dialogue' offers a strange parallel reading of the spatiality of aquariums and interiors of Turkish businesses in the diaspora. Through active dialogue, Atakan and Metincan will delve into their respective research fields, interrupting each other from mutual lenses and presenting their findings through striking images of historical aquariums and dönershops. As these two distinguished narratives intertwine, they raise questions about our basic urge to create fictional context and the potential of mimicry. Water filters, döner wraps, air pumps, and ornamented tiles will blend into each other as the audience wanders through the sea/diaspora.
